Description:
Raffinose pentahydrate is a natural non-reducing trisaccharide extracted from cottonseed or sugar beet molasses, composed of D-galactose, D-glucose and D-fructose combined with five crystal water molecules. It owns excellent thermal stability and acid resistance, will not be digested and absorbed by human small intestinal enzymes, and can selectively proliferate beneficial intestinal flora. This product dissolves easily in water, slightly dissolves in ethanol and methanol, and is insoluble in acetone, chloroform and ether; it is hygroscopic and needs sealed low-temperature storage away from strong light and high humidity.
