Introduction:
Sodium methyl cocoyl taurate is a mild amino acid-based anionic surfactant derived from coconut oil and N-methyltaurine. It appears as an off-white to light yellow viscous paste or clear liquid, and a white to light yellow powder in high-solid grades. It is soluble in water, forming a stable foam with excellent detergency, low irritation to skin and eyes, and good tolerance to hard water and electrolytes.
It is widely used in personal care products such as facial cleansers, body washes, shampoos, baby care items and toothpaste as a primary or secondary surfactant for gentle cleansing and rich foam.
