Description:
N-Isopropyl-N'-phenyl-p-phenylenediamine (CAS 101-72-4), also known as Antioxidant 4010NA, is a high-performance amine-based rubber antidegradant. It appears as a dark purple to brown granular or powdery solid at room temperature, with a typical purity of ≥98% in industrial grades. It exhibits excellent resistance to ozone cracking, flex fatigue, and thermal-oxidative aging, and also provides moderate protection against light-induced degradation.
Application:
It is widely used as a primary antiozonant and antioxidant in the rubber industry, particularly in tires, hoses, belts, and other dynamic rubber products exposed to outdoor conditions and repeated flexing. Its strong ozone protection properties make it ideal for applications requiring long-term durability under environmental stress. It can also serve as an intermediate in the synthesis of certain dyes and specialty chemicals.
