Introduction:
Octadecyltrimethylammonium bromide is a quaternary ammonium chemical salt antibacterial agent in the form of white powder. OTAB is a cationic surfactant with strong bactericidal and antifungal properties. It is commonly used as a waterproofing agent, a dye retarder, a petroleum demulsifier, and an oilfield bactericide.
Application:
A Dynamin I inhibitor. Trimethyloctadecylammonium bromide (C18TAB) is generally used as a surfactant. It can be used in the preparation of polyoxomolybdate-surfactant hybrid layered crystals. It can also be used as a surface modifier in the liquid chromatography.
