886 metalwork fluid is a mixture of the two isothiazoliones containedat a 13.9% concentration. It is mainly contained in metalwork fluids. As an active component of Aigezid and contained in a water bath used for phtotographic development, it caused contact dermatitis in a photograph developer.
Methylchloroisothiazolinone/methylisothiazolinone mixture (MCIT/MIT) is a mixture of isothiazolinone-derived biocides. It is effective against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria with MIC values of 0.0002, 0.0002, 0.00005, and 0.00005% (w/w) for respectively. MCIT/MIT can elicit contact sensitization. Formulations containing MCIT/MIT have been used for controlling microbial growth in industrial and household products.
Application:
CMIT/MIT is the ideal biocidal in industrial circulating cool water system and in wastewater treatment in oilfield, papermaking, pesticide, cutting oil, leather, detergent and cosmetics etc.
When used as sludge stripper for grade II, the dosage of 150-300mg/L is preferred, when used as biocide, the dosage of 80-100mg/L is preferred, and charges every 3-7 days. No used together with oxidative fungicidal and no used in cooling water system containing sulfur.
When used together with quaternary amine, the effect will be better. When used as industrial fungicide, the dosage of 0.05-0.4% is preferred.
