Uses
4-t-Octylphenol (4t-OP) is used as a surfactant, an additive for synthetic rubber, or an intermediate in the production of resins during manufacturing processes. 4t-OP is also used in the manufacture of alkylphenol ethoxylates. It is mainly found in detergents, cleaning products, and emulsifiers, and is less commonly found in paints, personal care products, pesticides, paper, pulp, and textiles.
