Silver chloride is a component of photographic emulsion, sensitive to silver bromide, higher than silver iodide. Keep away from light and pack in black paper. Used as an antiseptic. Also used in silver plating, manufacturing cosmic ray ionization detector, single crystal can be used as infrared absorption tank and lens element.
