Product Description
Product Description
Paraffin wax is produced from the lubricating oil fraction obtained by oil distillation through solvent refining, solvent dewaxing, or wax freezing crystallization and pressing dewaxing to obtain wax paste, followed by deoiling and further refining to obtain flaky or needle-like crystals. Based on the degree of refining, it can be divided into three types: fully refined paraffin wax, semi-refined paraffin wax, and crude paraffin wax. Each type of wax is further classified according to its melting point, generally in 2°C increments, such as grades 52, 54, 56, and 58. Crude paraffin wax has a higher oil content and is mainly used in the manufacture of matches, fiberboard, and tarpaulins. Fully refined and semi-refined paraffin wax have a wide range of applications, mainly as components and packaging materials for food, oral medicines, and certain commodities (such as waxed paper, crayons, candles, and carbon paper), coatings for baking containers, for fruit preservation, insulation of electrical components, and improving the anti-aging properties and flexibility of rubber. It can also be used for oxidation to produce synthetic fatty acids.
